Guidelines for the construction of accessible text
In order to promote the accessibility of texts published in aDR for people with lindness (who need ledores software that do not understand the content of images, graphs, tables, among others), some guidelines were elaborated on the main changes in the development of the manuscript to be submitted.1. Avoid the use of repeated blank characters (e.g. two spaces), as well as bars and other forms used to represent gender diversity and sexualities (e.g., /as/os/es, @, "x").2. All non-textual digital content should contain image description (photos, illustrations, tables, graphics, gifs).3. Avoid using merged cell in tables and frames. In the case of complex tables and tables, a brief description of the shape is suggested, such as number of columns and rows.4. Enter the description just below the "Font" item, using the same formatting.5. In the description of images, one should follow the order: #PraTodoMundoVer + what / who + where + how + does what + how + when + from where; the simplified form is also indicated: format + subject + landscape + context + action. Example: #PraTodoMundoVer The image is a photo that records the presence of Juliet Mitchell giving a lecture in France in May 1998.
Guidelines for inserting images, tables and charts
1. In the case of insertion of images with copyright (photos, pictures, graphs, tables and tables), the responsibility for forwarding the procedures relating to reproduction rights will be the author (or authors) of the submission. The authors must send the Journal a document proving the authorization. Final approval of the text will depend on compliance with these guidelines.2. Figures, graphics and images should be sent in two ways: in TIFF formats, with 300 dpis, in separate text files and uploaded to the system; and jpg format, inserted into the body of the text. Title, font, and observations must be in the body of the text and should not make up the image. Materials outside these specifications may not be used.3. Tables should come in the text body (without inserting the footnote inside the table). They should also be in image, in TIFF format, with resolution of 300 dpis, and inserted in "Supplementary Documents". The maximum table size on the page will be 13 x 17 cm, vertical position. Avoid large tables, with too many cells and/or too much text per cell. They don't fit on the pages, and the text can be unreadable.4. Whenever possible, leave figures, images, charts, and tables unlinked from a specific paragraph in order to allow some flexibility in the arrangement of the text and the same on the page. There should be, somewhere in the text, the bold indication of the image or table for cross-reference (e.g.: Figure 1).5. Images, tables, charts must have title, font and written description, for accessibility (#PraTodoMundoVer) purposes. The description should be included below the graphic, as indicated in the model file provided in the "Guidelines for Authors" menu.6. It is suggested moderation in the use of images, being allowed a maximum of 10.
2. The books reviewed must be related to the scope of this journal: last four years for publications abroad and two years for national publication or resulting from translation in Brazil.3. Reviews must contain:
- title (different from the title of the book reviewed);
- synthesis of the subject matter dealt with;
- information about the author or the authors of the book;
- insertion and position of work in contemporary discussions on the subject;
- critical perspectives on work (positive and negative points, aspects that could be further explored, innovative and important aspects of the work).
4. The author of the review must also submit her mini-biography (up to 5 lines of text) and fill in the Metadata of submission in the system.5. The formatting standards for reviews should follow the guidelines indicated in the item "Guidelines for the elaboration of texts".6. All sources and references must be also informed as indicated in item 5 of the "Guidelines for the preparation of texts". Guidelines for interviews 1. The interviews should be preceded by a short text of presentation of the interviewee, prepared by the interviewer or interviewers contextualizing her theme and the situation in which they were conducted.2. They should contain short questions, preferably one sentence only. It should be made clear that the space is to be occupied by the interviewee and not by the interviewer. If the question actually asked is longer, it must be edited for submission to the Journal.3. Very long answers or that include very different themes can be edited by including a question by the author.4. Answers to topics close to, but that have appeared at distant moments of the interview, can be edited in order to present a better thread.5. After the end of the interview, the interviewee should be checked for the spelling of the names mentioned, as well as complete the bibliographic references mentioned.6. Whenever possible, send the interview transcript to obtain the interviewee's approval before her presentation to the interview editor.7. The formatting standards for the interviews should follow the guidelines indicated in the item "Guidelines for the elaboration of texts".
